Job summary

Intertek Group is seeking a High Voltage Electrical Engineer for a remote-based role within the United States. You will design, analyze, and optimize electrical systems for community and utility-scale solar and storage projects, using AutoCAD and ETAP, while ensuring grid compliance and safety.

You will review designs, perform load calculations, and support commissioning and testing, with up to 25% travel. A bachelor’s in electrical engineering and 5+ years in Solar PV/BESS are required; PE

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in Solar PV and BESS industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software, ETAP Power system simulation tools, understanding PV/BESS inverter, MV and HV.

Responsibilities

• Design and/or create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings for solar and storage systems using AutoCAD.
• Conduct power system studies, load flow analyses, and inverter/MV/HV modelling with ETAP to optimize energy output.
• Ensure grid interconnection meets utility, TSP and RTO standards and safety codes (NEC/IEEE).
• Provide technical support during commissioning, assist with testing, and troubleshoot on-site challenges.
• Maintain and update design drawings, reports, and specifications for stakeholders.
