Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a part-time Human Resources Business Partner to support employee relations, investigations, and compliance. This fully remote role within the United States collaborates with HR leadership to drive policy guidance, risk management, and workforce planning.

The successful candidate will bring 8+ years HR experience, strong investigative skills, and proficiency with MS Office and HRIS. SHRM/PHR is a plus; travel not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or psychology required.
• 8+ years HR experience or commensurate.
• 2+ years in employee relations, investigations, compliance, or HR generalist.
• Familiar with federal and state employment laws.
• Experience handling confidential information.
• Strong investigative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient with MS Office and HRIS.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first contact for employee relations and workplace concerns.
• Guide managers and employees on company policies and procedures.
• Support conflict resolution and effective communication.
• Assist with disciplinary actions and performance discussions.
• Identify trends and propose proactive solutions.
• Conduct employee investigations and prepare summaries.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure fairness in investigations.
• Perform HR audits to ensure compliance with policies.
• Support HR Partners with organizational initiatives.
• Analyze HR data and support process improvements.
