Job summary

GovCIO is hiring a Part-Time Human Resources Business Partner to support employer relations and investigations. This role is fully remote within the United States and involves partnering with HR, legal, and leadership to ensure compliant, proactive people practices.

The successful candidate will handle employee relations, conduct investigations, assist with audits, and help with workforce planning while maintaining confidentiality in a dynamic, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration or Psychology with 8+ years of experience.
• Experience handling confidential information and HR investigations.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for employee relations matters and workplace concerns.
• Provide guidance to managers and employees regarding policies and employment practices.
• Support conflict resolution and effective communication between managers and employees.
• Assist with disciplinary actions, performance discussions, and corrective actions.
• Identify employee relations trends and recommend proactive solutions.
• Conduct and support investigations involving policy violations and misconduct.
• Gather evidence, prepare summaries and recommendations for HR leadership.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure investigations are fair and timely.
• Partner with legal, compliance, and leadership teams as appropriate.
• Perform HR records audits to ensure compliance and identify gaps.
• Support compliance initiatives relating to employment laws.
• Maintain accurate and timely case management documentation.
