Job summary

Sharing Excess is seeking an HR Generalist, Recruiting to own end-to-end hiring across multiple hubs and departments, from warehouse roles to program leadership. Recruiting will be ~70% of the role, with the remaining 30% covering core HR operations, onboarding, HRIS updates, and compliance tasks.

Travel to hub locations is occasional. You will join a small HR team led by the HR Manager and collaborate with the Senior HR Generalist, Compliance & Payroll to ensure smooth onboarding and hiring

Qualifications

• 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience (in-house or agency).
• Experience with high-volume hourly hiring and professional or salaried searches.
• Working knowledge of HR operations: onboarding, I-9s, HRIS, and employee relations basics.
• Familiarity with employment law as it applies to hiring, including fair chance and pay transparency requirements.
• Experience with an applicant tracking system and HRIS.
• Excellent communication and the ability to build trust with candidates and managers.
• Strong organization and discretion with confidential information.
• Willingness and ability to travel occasionally to Sharing Excess hub locations.

Responsibilities

• Own the full-cycle recruitment process end to end: intake meetings, postings, sourcing, screening, interviews, references, offers.
• Partner with hiring managers to define role needs and selection criteria.
• Source candidates through job boards, partners, colleges, and referrals with local hub focus.
• Manage high-volume hourly hiring for warehouse, driver, and operations alongside professional searches.
• Coach on structured, inclusive, compliant interviewing.
• Maintain ATS and keep candidates informed at every stage.
• Prepare offers and hand off to onboarding; track recruiting metrics.
