The ideal candidate has 5+ years of HR generalist experience, a Bachelor's degree in HR or related field, and solid knowledge of CA wage-and-hour rules and CFRA/PDL. This is a remote position open to several states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field.
• 5+ years progressive HR experience in a generalist role.
• California-specific compliance knowledge (CFRA/PDL, wage-hour, PAGA).
• Knowledge across compensation, organizational diagnosis, and employment laws.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Administer HR plans and policies; maintain employee handbook.
• Support department goals and systems development.
• Conduct new employee orientations and write job descriptions.
• Handle employee relations and exit interviewing.
• Maintain HRIS records and generate reports.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Support performance management and disciplinary actions.
• Conduct HR investigations and provide recommendations.
