Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking an experienced HR Data and Reporting Analyst to support HR Operations in a remote, contract role. You will provide workforce reporting, data analysis, and operational insights across Workday HCM, Recruiting, Payroll, Benefits, and Learning, collaborating with HRIS and other HR teams as needed.

You will translate business questions into reliable reports and dashboards, validate data, monitor quality, support audits, and respond quickly to data requests while maintaining

Qualifications

• Proven experience analyzing HR data and developing reports and dashboards for HR operations.
• Proficiency with Workday reporting tools and custom reports across HCM, Recruiting, Payroll, Benefits, and Learning.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and data analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with data validation.
• HRIS collaboration experience preferred; HRIS admin not required.
• Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau is a plus.
• Familiarity with data governance and quality-control practices.

Responsibilities

• Partner with HR leaders to assess reporting needs and translate them into clear reports, dashboards, and recurring deliverables.
• Develop and maintain standard and ad hoc Workday reports, including calculated fields.
• Validate report logic and reconcile data across HR processes.
• Document report definitions, data sources, procedures, and controls.
• Coordinate with HRIS for system configuration, security changes, integrations, or troubleshooting.
• Monitor data quality, investigate discrepancies, and drive issue resolution with HR teams.
• Analyze workforce trends and key HR metrics and present findings clearly.
• Support audits and compliance-related reporting and respond to time-sensitive data requests.
• Test and validate new or revised reports from a user perspective.
• Maintain data security and provide guidance to users interpreting HR information.
