Job summary

EBS HR Consulting, a niche firm delivering fractional HR leadership since 1998, is seeking a part-time Human Resources Coordinator to support two client companies in Tennessee and New York. The role focuses on HR operations, documentation, onboarding, and responding to routine inquiries while coordinating with an HR Business Partner and an Executive Consultant.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of HR coordination or related admin experience preferred.
• Experience with HRIS platforms, onboarding and HR documentation; Rippling preferred.
• Familiarity with payroll and benefits administration is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication and confidentiality.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Ability to work independently and reliably in a remote multi-client environment.
• New York-based candidates preferred; experience supporting NY employees is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding, including paperwork, checklists, and communications.
• Maintain accurate employee records and update HRIS records.
• Assist with benefits enrollment, leave and PTO tracking, and routine inquiries.
• Support payroll preparation via data checks and timekeeping.
• Coordinate recruiting logistics, interview scheduling, and background checks as needed.
• Maintain confidential digital personnel files and compliance docs.
• Prepare basic HR reports, spreadsheets, and communications.
• Support policy updates and HR projects across two organizations.
• Escalate sensitive matters to the HR Business Partner.
