Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking an HPC HW Engineer to provide hardware support and leadership in design and implementation of HPC solutions. The role involves remote work with occasional on-site engagements at customer locations, maintaining system health, diagnosing issues, and mentoring junior staff.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of related experience, security clearances, and certifications such as Security+, Linux+, RHCSA/RHCE/CISSP.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in hardware engineering or related field.
• Requires appropriate level of security clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
• Certifications: CompTIA Security+ and Linux+ or equivalents (RHCSA, RHCE, CISSP).
• Location: must be located near the customer site.
• Experience with HW installation and repair (servers, storage, switches).
• Ability to work on-site as required for rotational, after-hours, and weekend on-call schedules.

Responsibilities

• Report daily and work on-site at the customer location.
• Monitor and maintain health of HPC systems (compute, network, storage).
• Troubleshoot and repair hardware issues.
• Perform daily hardware diagnostics and repairs.
• Create, track, and close support cases ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Maintain on-call coverage and availability reports.

Education

Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent in computer science or related field
