Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Coding Consultant Outpatient for a remote, part-time role in the United States. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hospital coding experience, CCS/CPC credentials, and proficiency with EPIC and 3M/Solventum.

You will review records, assign diagnoses and procedures, and ensure accurate APC/ED coding while maintaining high productivity. This position emphasizes strong communication, remote work discipline, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• AHIMA or AAPC credentials required.
• 2+ years hospital coding experience.
• Experience with facility E/M leveling, injections/infusions, and bedside procedures.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Sequence codes based on documentation.
• Maintain 95% coding accuracy and productivity standards.
• Communicate coding issues to appropriate personnel.
