Job summary

Post University is seeking a Compliance & Contracts Attorney to serve as a legal advisor to university stakeholders, supervised by University Counsel. The role focuses on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, and advising on Title IX, ADA, privacy, and other regulatory matters for online and in-person programs.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited US law school.
• Attaining approved house counsel status in Connecticut is required.
• Strong critical thinking and excellent legal analysis skills.
• Interest in developing expertise in contract review and key contractual provisions.

Responsibilities

• Drafts, reviews, revises, and negotiates a variety of agreements including vendor and technology agreements, strategic partnerships and data privacy and security, international matters, and intellectual property.
• Reviews outgoing group student communications to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and best practices.
• Provides legal advice relating to ethical operations and compliance.
• Assists with international compliance for our growing international student population.
• Supports the legal and compliance groups with matters involving privacy, GLBA, GDPR, NCAA, FERPA, TCPA, Title VI, and marketing to ensure University compliance.
• Performs legal research, drafts and develops resource material, and performs educational outreach within the institution on legal and regulatory issues.
