Job summary

WSP is seeking a High Voltage Substation Inspector to support the Power Constructors Inc Team in the Houston, TX area. This role involves field inspections, data collection, and documenting findings with photos, sketches, calculations, and reports; travel up to 100% may be required.

Responsibilities include ensuring conformance with plans, codes, and permits, coordinating with contractors, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 9+ years in construction inspection.
• 5+ years active field inspection experience with ability to fill reports using Word/Excel.
• Valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide inspection support to engineers and project managers to ensure construction compliance with plans, specs, and codes.
• Perform field inspections on projects of moderate scale and document findings.
• Lead inspection tasks and staff as needed; coordinate with clients and contractors.
