Job summary

SOLV Energy, a national provider of solar, BESS, and high-voltage infrastructure services, seeks a High Voltage Preconstruction Project Manager. You will lead preconstruction efforts, manage estimates, schedules, and risk, and coordinate with clients, utilities, and internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from concept to construction.

The role emphasizes substations, transmission lines, renewable interconnections, and complex HV projects with budgets often exceeding $10M.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or related field preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in electrical construction, high-voltage projects, estimating, or project management.
• Experience with substations, transmission lines, utility-scale solar, wind, BESS, or industrial electrical projects.
• Experience managing projects exceeding $10M preferred.
• Electrical codes and industry standards
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction activities for high-voltage electrical projects, including planning, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and risk assessment.
• Coordinate with clients, utilities, consultants, and internal teams to develop execution plans.
• Develop project execution strategies aligned with client objectives and company goals.
• Oversee preconstruction deliverables from inception through turnover.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor/subcontractor proposals; ensure alignment with schedules and estimates.
