Job summary

Ohio Virtual Academy (OHVA), a Stride, Inc. partner, seeks a High School Intervention Specialist 9-12 for a remote position. The role involves supporting students with diverse learning needs, adapting curricula, writing IEPs, and coordinating with teachers to achieve literacy, communication, and math goals.

Travel up to 20% may be required. The ideal candidate holds an Ohio Intervention Specialist License, a Bachelor's degree, and experience with IEP processes.

Qualifications

• State of Ohio Intervention Specialist License is required.
• Bachelor's degree and equivalence or combination of education/experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).

Responsibilities

• Modify and/or adapt the K12 curriculum to meet student needs.
• Write and maintain compliant IEPs for students with disabilities.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to meet student goals.
• Educate parents on instructional strategies and progress.
• Prepare appropriate documentation and coordinate IEP meetings.
• Proctor achievement and testing, including alternative assessments.
• Collaborate with related services team to monitor IEP goals.
• Travel up to 20% as needed and pass required background checks.
