Job summary

Rex.zone is seeking a remote engineer to support Mexico-aligned healthcare robotics programs from prototyping to production. You will translate requirements into engineering specs, design ROS2 modules and perception pipelines, and integrate sensors for medical-grade reliability.

Responsibilities include end-to-end V&V, calibration, diagnostics, and telemetry-driven analysis, with cross-functional collaboration to ensure deployment readiness and serviceability.

Qualifications

  • Mid-senior experience building robotics or medical device systems.
  • Proficient in C/C++ and Python.
  • Experience with ROS/ROS2, robot kinematics, and control systems.
  • Hands-on sensor integration and embedded/real-time constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Translate clinical and product requirements into engineering specifications.
  • Design and implement robotics software modules (ROS2 nodes, perception pipelines, controls).
  • Integrate sensors and actuators (IMU, encoders, LiDAR, depth cameras, force/torque).
  • Develop calibration, diagnostics, and telemetry-driven root-cause analysis for deployed systems.
  • Build automated tests and regression suites; support simulation, bench testing, HIL/SIL, and field validation.
  • Support V&V documentation, risk analysis, and traceability matrices aligned to medical device standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with QA/RA, manufacturing, and ops to ensure deployment readiness and serviceability.
