Job summary

Rex.zone seeks a robotics software engineer to design, implement, and validate healthcare robotics capabilities across perception, planning, and control. This remote, full-time role spans system architecture, integration testing, verification and validation (V&V), and production reliability in regulated environments.

You will build robotics modules for autonomy, navigation, and task execution using ROS2, develop perception pipelines with calibration and sensor fusion, and implement motion

Qualifications

  • Experience with ROS2 and robotics software development.
  • Strong understanding of perception pipelines, sensor fusion, and computer vision.
  • Experience with verification and validation in regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with CI pipelines and telemetry dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Build robotics software modules for autonomy, navigation, and task execution using ROS2.
  • Develop perception pipelines (camera/LiDAR), including calibration, sensor fusion, and computer vision.
  • Implement motion planning and control systems with safety constraints and fail-safe behavior.
  • Create test strategies for simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, and on-robot validation; track regression and performance.
  • Define and maintain requirements, hazard considerations, and V&V artifacts aligned with regulated practices (e.g., ISO 13485, IEC 62304).
  • Support field deployments, root-cause analysis, and iterative improvements based on telemetry and incident reports.
