Job summary

Cognizant is hiring for a Healthcare Customer Service Collections – Self-Pay role. You will assist our clients' customers with outstanding balances and provide excellent service while maintaining positive relationships.

Responsibilities include handling inbound calls, applying patient guidelines, and recording account updates. Requires healthcare collections experience and proficiency with Epic; remote work available within the United States.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum one year collections experience in healthcare.
• Minimum one year experience with Epic software.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls as a hospital representative to arrange debt repayment per patient financials and client guidelines.
• Understand and apply HIPAA and TCPA guidelines during calls.
• Ensure all required statements are sent for accounts handled and request statements as needed.
• Document updates and data on accounts as calls are completed.
• Assist in outbound calls when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
