Cognizant is seeking a Healthcare Customer Service Collections – Self-Pay representative to assist patients with outstanding balances while delivering strong service. You will work with hospital clients and their customers, handling calls, documenting information, and following HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare collections experience, minimum 1 year.
• Experience with Epic software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls as a hospital representative to arrange debt repayment per guidelines.
• Record updates on accounts and ensure statements are sent.
• Respect HIPAA and TCPA guidelines on calls.
• Assist with outbound calls when needed.
• Escalate disputes to a supervisor as required.
