Cognizant is seeking a Healthcare Customer Service Collections – Self-Pay professional to assist patients with outstanding balances while delivering excellent customer service. You will work remotely from the United States and follow hospital/client repayment guidelines to secure payments.

Responsibilities include handling inbound calls, recording updates, and ensuring statements are sent. HIPAA and TCPA compliance must be maintained, with occasional outbound calls and dispute escalation as

• Experience in healthcare collections or patient balance recovery.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines and patient privacy.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls to arrange debt repayment per guidelines.
• Record updates on accounts accurately in system.
• Understand HIPAA and TCPA guidelines during calls.
• Ensure statements are sent and escalate disputes when needed.
• Make outbound calls when required.
