Job summary

Datavant is seeking an entry level ROI coordinator to process medical records requests and ensure HIPAA privacy compliance. The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality and customer service as you handle patient information and communicate with providers, insurers and attorneys.

Work is remote from home with standard weekday hours. You will gain familiarity with the organization’s software and contribute to timely, compliant releases of information while supporting walk-in patients and calls.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to commute between locations as needed.
• Able to work overtime during peak seasons when required.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Comfortable using phones, fax, printers and other general office equipment.
• Professional verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process requests for patient health information in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain confidentiality and security with all privileged information.
• Maintain working knowledge of company and facility software.
• Adhere to code of conduct and policies.
• Inform manager of work, site difficulties, and fluctuating volumes.
• Assist with additional duties as needed.
• Ensure HIPAA privacy standards to guard against unauthorized disclosure.
• Manage patient health records and safeguard them.
