Job summary

Datavant is seeking an entry-level ROI specialist to process medical record requests in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring HIPAA compliance and protecting patient privacy. You will handle requests from patients, insurers, and attorneys, document information across platforms, and use Microsoft Office daily.

This remote role offers comprehensive training, equipment provision, and benefits including PTO and 401k.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to commute between locations as needed.
• Able to work overtime during peak seasons when required.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Professional verbal and written communication in English.
• Strong data entry skills.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks.
• Able to respond to changing priorities and role needs.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process requests for patient health information in accordance with Company and Facility policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and security with all privileged information.
• Maintain working knowledge of Company and facility software.
• Inform manager of work, site difficulties, and/or fluctuating volumes.
• Assist with additional work duties or responsibilities as evident or required.
• Respond to requests for patient records from internal and external sources, retrieving and transmitting them appropriately.
• Answer inbound/outbound calls.
• May assist with patient walk-ins.
• May assist with administrative duties such as handling faxes, opening mail, and data entry.
