Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Quality & Clinical Transformation Intern to support initiatives that enhance clinical quality, patient outcomes, safety, and operational effectiveness. You will work with Quality and Clinical Transformation leaders and cross-functional teams to gain hands-on experience in quality improvement, data analysis, process improvement, and change management.

Qualifications

Current enrollment with junior or senior status at a regional accredited college or university.
GPA of at least 2.5.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability in successfully completing tasks.
Strong teamwork skills.
Effective multitasking and prioritization skills.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel.

Responsibilities

Support quality improvement and clinical transformation projects focused on improving patient outcomes, safety, care delivery, and operational performance.
Assist with identifying opportunities for process improvement and standardization.
Participate in project meetings, improvement workgroups, and cross-functional initiatives.
Help document current-state processes, identify gaps, and support development of future-state workflows.
Research healthcare quality improvement practices and emerging trends to support transformation efforts.
