Self Fund Health is seeking an Operations Specialist to serve as the first contact for routine client inquiries and onboarding across employers and brokers, with a focus on benefits enrollment, billing, and provider networks.

You will train users on portals, document interactions in CRM, support open enrollment, coordinate with sales and vendors, and identify process improvements to reduce costs and enhance outcomes for Wisconsin-based clients.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in health insurance or a related field.
• Exposure to self-funding, stop loss, or provider networks is a plus.
• Knowledge of regional healthcare landscape and broker market helpful.
• Remote Wisconsin-based role with occasional travel within Wisconsin and surrounding states.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for routine client inquiries and escalate as needed.
• Provide timely responses regarding benefits, enrollment, billing, provider networks, and policy details.
• Conduct virtual or in-person training for employers and brokers on portals, billing, and enrollment processes.
• Document interactions in CRM and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Support onboarding of new clients, including portals setup, contracts, enrollment, and member materials.
• Coordinate across sales, plan management, and vendor partners to ensure a seamless launch.
• Assist with open enrollment communications, scheduling, and member education sessions.
• Track client requests to resolution and provide reporting support for the sales team.
• Support plan renewals by gathering documents and coordinating timelines.
• Identify operational gaps and recommend process enhancements to improve efficiency.
