Job summary

CRISP Shared Services, Inc. is seeking a Business Analyst to develop and deliver mission-critical software for the Health Information Exchange. You will partner with Analysts and stakeholders, gather requirements, and ensure stories meet acceptance criteria while aligning with product goals.

In a fast-paced Scrum team, you will refine features, write user stories, and help plan sprints, while tracking capacity, velocity, and quality across releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or business field.
• Minimum 2-3 years in a Business Analyst role with a software development team.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, especially Product Owner, and writing User Stories.
• Experience with REST APIs and/or SOAP; familiarity with testing tools such as Postman.
• Ability to coordinate with clinical, business, and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Works with Analysts and stakeholders on requirements gathering and scoping for product features.
• Refines features so that the development team can clearly understand what is being developed.
• Identifies spike opportunities for the given features.
• Defines user stories, including writing Acceptance Criteria, and ensures stories meet the Definition of Ready.
• Communicate changes in requirements to stakeholders after Requirements Review Board approval.
• Ensure the development team backlog is in priority order.
• Participate in Scrum process and facilitate Scrum meetings.
• Keep track of team capacity, velocity, and predictability.
• Work with the team to refine and groom stories and plan sprints.
• Review Test Plans for stories before closing items to ensure Definition of Done.
• Escalate blockers to leadership when needed and take ownership of service success.
• Assist in transition of services to operations (DevOps, App Support) with release timelines and handoffs.
• Ensure teams stay on track to reach quarterly goals.
