Job summary

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems BA.

• Understanding of web application architecture and software development processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owners, stakeholders, and tech teams to gather and document requirements.
• Translate business needs into detailed user stories with acceptance criteria.
• Create, prioritize, refine, and maintain the product backlog.
• Conduct business analysis to identify solutions for complex challenges.
• Develop use cases, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
• Partner with SMEs to elicit and validate product requirements.
• Collaborate with UX teams to support prototyping and design.
• Work with development, QA, stakeholders, and vendors through the SDLC.
• Support UAT, validate requirements, and ensure successful delivery.
• Assist with deployment planning, readiness, documentation, and training.
• Prioritize multiple initiatives and manage competing BA activities.
• Facilitate meetings, report status, and build stakeholder consensus.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and digital experiences.
• Provide guidance and support to project teams and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and technology teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Translate business needs into detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Create, prioritize, refine, and maintain the product backlog to align with business objectives.
• Conduct business analysis to identify solutions for complex business challenges.
• Develop use cases, process flows, functional specifications, and product documentation.
• Facilitate backlog refinement sessions, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies.
• Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to elicit and validate product requirements.
• Collaborate with User Experience (UX) teams to support prototyping and solution design.
• Work closely with development, QA, business stakeholders, and external vendors throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validate business requirements, and ensure successful solution delivery.
• Assist with deployment planning, business readiness, user documentation, training, and solution enablement.
• Prioritize multiple initiatives while effectively managing competing business analysis activities.
• Facilitate meetings, communicate project status, and build consensus among stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes and enhance digital customer experiences.
• Provide guidance and support to project teams and leadership throughout product development initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Business Analyst.
• Experience working in Agile Scrum environments.
• Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements.
• Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing product backlogs.
• Experience conducting business analysis, use case development, process analysis, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Knowledge of healthcare, benefits administration, or digital product development.
• Understanding of web application architecture and software development processes.
• Experience working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Experience using Jira or similar Agile project management tools.
