Job summary

Pearson is seeking an Associate, Scoring Services to work remotely in the United States. You will evaluate responses to test questions for New York teacher candidates, follow scoring standards, and participate in consensus scoring with other scorers.

The role supports licensure testing programs and requires the ability to work from home, manage time, and maintain confidentiality. Starting pay is $17.50 per hour with part-time hours and occasional orientation sessions.

Qualifications

• Must be an educator from college/university or have taught/advised in the relevant content field in the last 3 years.
• Alternatively hold a degree in the content area with professional employment in the last 3 years.
• Both active and recently retired practitioners may be eligible

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by New York teacher candidates
• Internalize scoring standards and join consensus scoring discussions
• Identify bias types and discuss strategies to reduce bias in scoring
• Meet quality and productivity requirements and pass a qualifying test
