Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Educators from colleges or universities may qualify if they taught or advised within the last 3 years.
• Hold a degree in the content area and have recent professional employment in that area.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by New York teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards and participate in consensus scoring activities.
• Recognize and discuss bias types and strategies to reduce bias in scoring.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements, including passing a qualifying test.
