Job summary

Pearson is hiring for an Associate, Scoring Services to remotely score teacher licensure responses for the New York program. You will evaluate student answers, apply scoring standards, and participate in consensus scoring with fellow scorers.

Starting at $17.50 per hour, this part-time, remote role includes training before scoring and intermittent sessions Monday through Friday. This is a non-bonus position with formal onboarding and guidelines posted on the career site.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills (keyboard, mouse).
• Ability to sit for extended periods.
• Ability to maintain a confidential work environment.
• Eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by New York teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards, participate in discussions, and engage with other scorers in consensus scoring activities.
• Recognize and discuss bias types and strategies to reduce personal biases in scoring.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements established for the scoring program, including passing a qualifying test before scoring.
