Job summary

Pearson is recruiting for remote scoring of Health teacher licensure assessments. Scorers evaluate responses from New York teacher candidates, following standardized scoring protocols. The role requires current teaching certification or recent teaching experience, plus the ability to work remotely in the United States.

Starting pay is $17.50 per hour. Training occurs before scoring, with sessions Monday–Friday on an intermittent basis.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current teaching certification in Health or have recent teaching experience in schools (public or private).
• Alternative: educators from colleges/universities who taught relevant content in the last 3 years.
• Or hold a degree in Health content area with recent professional employment in the field.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions from New York teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards and participate in discussions with fellow scorers.
• Discuss and address bias types and implement bias-reduction strategies.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements and complete a qualifying test.
• Work remotely in the scoring program.
