Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) is hiring for a remote customer advocate role based in Texas. The position involves heavy phone work in a call center to assist members and physicians, with on-site training in Houston for six weeks before transitioning to a remote, full-time work arrangement.

The starting pay rate is $18.50 per hour, non-negotiable, and requires strong customer service, data entry, and communication skills. Prior experience in healthcare lines is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 months customer service experience or 6 months office experience.
• Data entry/typing experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to spend ~90% of time on the phone and sit for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist members and physicians by responding to inquiries by phone or written channels.
• Research and resolve inquiries promptly and objectively.
• Balance on-call time with other duties as needed.
