Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Manager of Transmission Line Engineer to lead a dynamic team in high voltage transmission project design, from overhead to underground systems, across utility clients. You will apply standards (NESC, ASCE, NEC) and drive engineering analyses, bidding documents, and material/preconstruction plans.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, preferred, or Mechanical Engineering with 12+ years of relevant experience in the design of high voltage electric utility transmission systems.
Professional Engineering Registration in at least one U.S. state or equivalent.
Experience with PLS-CADD, POLE, TOWER, SAG10, LPILE and/or FAD, and Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

Manage performance of direct reports and motivate, coach, and mentor professionals while delegating project work.
Develop and manage client relations, proposals, scope creation, and project management.
Lead engineering design and implementation of transmission projects from 34.5 kV to 765 kV, applying applicable codes and standards.
