EDB is seeking a senior security leader to own Security Operations and Security Engineering, reporting to the CISO. You will shape threat detection, incident response, and preventive controls across products, cloud environments, and acquired companies.

You’ll lead a growing team, drive automation, and partner with IT and Product to scale security as the business expands. You will build and refine playbooks, manage cross-functional risk, and lead strategic security initiatives in a remote-first,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience leading security teams.
• 7+ years hands-on experience in security operations, incident response, detection, or security engineering.
• Track record of scaling a security function through rapid growth.
• Strategic thinking that goes beyond the immediate scope of the role.
• Ability to translate technical risk into business impact for executives and stakeholders.
• Comfort in a global, remote-first environment with flexible schedules and on-call responsibilities.

Responsabilités

• Lead end-to-end incident response, including intake, severity modeling, and after-action improvements.
• Drive detection engineering, threat hunting, and integration of SIEM/EDR/SOAR/cloud security platforms.
• Define and deliver security engineering strategy focused on preventive controls and least privilege.
• Lead insider threat programs in collaboration with HR, Legal, and IT.
• Develop automation and agentic AI to extend analyst capacity while preserving human ownership of decisions.
• Oversee security integration for acquired companies and new environments into EDB standards.
• Collaborate with IT and Product leadership to embed preventive controls into platforms, pipelines, and products.
