Job summary

EDB, a data and AI platform company, seeks a VP-level Security Operations and Security Engineering leader to own detection, response, and preventive controls. You will report to the CISO and shape the security program across cloud, product pipelines, and acquired environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience leading security teams.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in security operations, incident response, detection, or security engineering.
• Track record of scaling a security function through rapid growth (hiring, automation, and operating discipline).
• Strategic thinking beyond the immediate scope of the role.
• Ability to translate technical risk into business impact for executives, legal, customers, and IT/Product counterparts.

Responsibilities

• Lead Security Operations and Security Engineering, owning detection, response, and preventive controls.
• Collaborate with Governance, Risk & Compliance and Application Security & Vulnerability Management to shape security strategy.
• Partner with IT and Product to embed security in platforms, pipelines, and roadmaps.
• Drive automation and agent-based AI to extend analyst capacity while preserving decision control.
• Scale the security program to grow with the business, including org design, rhythms, and vendor strategy.
• Guide insider threat and identity assurance programs in collaboration with HR/Legal/IT.
