Job summary

Journal Technologies seeks a Head of Operations for the Defender BU to lead strategy, growth, and client outcomes. You will oversee Sales, Product, Professional Services, Support, and Customer Engagement functions, aligning initiatives with corporate goals.

You will drive operational excellence, sponsor strategic accounts, and partner with executive leaders to deliver measurable business results. This role requires strong leadership and a track record of cross-functional impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, engineering, information systems or related field; MBA preferred.
• Progressive leadership experience in enterprise software, justice/public sector tech, or related industry.
• Proven success leading a business unit with responsibility for performance and growth.

Responsibilities

• Own Defender BU profitability, revenue growth, customer satisfaction and operational performance.
• Develop and execute BU strategy with the CEO in alignment with company priorities.
• Lead Product, Customer Lifecycle, and Customer Growth Scrum teams toward BU objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement, streamline processes, and expand product-led implementations.
• Influence product strategy and roadmap priorities based on customer needs and markets.
• Set BU priorities and tradeoffs to maximize customer value and business results.
• Monitor financial and operational metrics; implement actions to increase profitability and growth.
• Build executive relationships with customers and sponsor strategic accounts.
• Partner with Sales and Marketing to grow the business and expand relations.
• Ensure successful delivery of implementations, support, and customer success outcomes.
