Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a sales professional for a fully remote role in the United States. You will prospect, develop relationships with potential clients, and close new and expanded sales agreements in a fast-paced, quota-driven environment.

The role targets medium-sized businesses (49-499 employees) and requires proactive activity in the field. A consultative approach, persistence, and a solid understanding of Paylocity’s value are essential for success.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; college degree strongly desired.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a sales position.
• Ability to succeed in a competitive environment.
• Ability to maintain high activity standards.
• Proven track record of sales success.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications and the Internet.

Responsibilities

• Generate net-new business opportunities and develop client relationships.
• Schedule and present Paylocity services to prospective clients.
• Prepare and present proposals and follow up through the sales process.
• Organize and obtain documentation for clients to move to Paylocity system.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth client transitions.
• Develop prospects through telemarketing, referrals, and other sources.
• Build relationships within Broker channels and other referral sources.
• Maintain contact with existing customers to identify needs for additional services.
• Attend trade shows and events to promote Paylocity services.
• Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas for the territory.
