Job summary

Paylocity, a leading cloud-based HR and payroll software provider, seeks a sales professional for its fully remote U.S. team. You will prospect, develop client relationships, and close new and expanded sales agreements within a competitive quota-driven environment.

The role reports to the Director of Sales and focuses on medium-sized businesses. You will manage full sales cycles, proposals, and client onboarding while collaborating with internal departments to ensure a smooth transition and

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience in a sales position
• Ability to succeed in a competitive environment
• Ability to maintain high activity standards
• Proven track record of sales success
• Strong problem-solving and objection-handling skills

Responsibilities

• Generate net-new business opportunities targeting prospective clients
• Schedule and present Paylocity services to prospects
• Prepare and present proposals with follow-up throughout the sales process
• Move clients through the onboarding process to Paylocity system
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth client transitions
• Develop prospects via telemarketing, referrals, and personal networks
• Build relationships within Broker channels and other referrals
• Maintain contact with existing customers to identify needs for additional services
• Attend trade shows and events to promote Paylocity services
• Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas for the territory
• Handle other duties as assigned
