Job summary

Paylocity in the United States offers cloud-based HR and payroll solutions. We are seeking a remote Sales professional to prospect, develop business relationships, and close new and expanded sales agreements with medium-sized businesses.

You'll work in a quota-driven environment, managing full sales cycles, presenting proposals, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition for clients. The role includes a competitive compensation package with base pay and commissions.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required. College degree strongly desired.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a sales position.
• Ability to succeed in a competitive environment.
• High activity standards and strong sales record.
• Critical thinking and decision-making for objections.
• Customer service orientation with strong communication skills.
• Strong written and oral communication, organization and time management.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Internet.

Responsibilities

• Generate net-new business opportunities and prospect using various sources.
• Schedule and present Paylocity services to prospective clients.
• Prepare and present proposals with appropriate follow-up.
• Organize and obtain documentation for clients to move to Paylocity.
• Work with internal departments to ensure smooth client transitions.
• Develop prospects through telemarketing and referrals.
• Maintain broker channel relationships and other referrals.
• Maintain contact with existing customers to identify needs for additional services.
• Attend trade shows and events to promote Paylocity.
• Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas.
• Other duties as assigned.
