Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a Remote HCC Coder with CRC to join our team. This full-time opportunity emphasizes accurate coding across inpatient and outpatient records, ED records, and professional services to support reimbursement and compliance.

The role requires expertise in ICD-9/10 CM and CPT-4, with a focus on maintaining accuracy and staying updated on regulatory changes. Work is remote with New Mexico-based operations and varied shifts to meet coverage.

Qualifications

• Codes inpatient and/or outpatient hospital records, ED records, Home Health & Hospice records and/or professional fee services.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of ICD-9/10 CM, CPT-4, HCPCS, DRG, APC and related updates.
• Uses computer systems to research medical records and ensure timely coding; handles queries as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review patient medical records and assign CPT, ICD and MS-DRG codes for reimbursement and research.
• Abstract data for QA and Joint Commission reporting.
• Resolve pre-bill edits and denials for assigned accounts.
