Job summary

HiFyve is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead a proprietary lubrication product line for bearings and power-transmission. This remote role requires residency in the Springboro/Greater Dayton, Ohio area to support business needs and travel up to 30%.

You will drive growth strategy, expand customer relationships, lead independent sales agents, and guide new-product development with executive leadership across sales, marketing, and operations. Prior industry exposure is essential.

Qualifications

• Direct commercial experience in bearing/power-transmission industry.
• Experience in business development, commercial leadership, sales management, market development, or product-line leadership.
• Strong customer-facing experience with long-term technical and commercial relationships.
• Ability to travel up to 30%.
• Must reside in Springboro/Greater Dayton, Ohio area.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute commercial strategies to grow the product line and expand market penetration.
• Identify new customers, applications, markets, and revenue opportunities.
• Build trusted relationships with OEMs, distributors, industrial customers, and other industry stakeholders.
• Manage, mentor, and support independent sales agents.
• Establish customer and channel strategies aligned with growth objectives.
• Lead sales forecasting, competitive analysis, and market-trend evaluation.
• Provide executive updates on pipeline, opportunities, risks, and performance.
• Gather voice-of-customer feedback for new products or modifications.
• Partner with engineering, operations, sales, and marketing on new-product development.
• Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and customer meetings.
• Deliver technical and commercial presentations on lubrication tech and product applications.
• Develop sales presentations, training materials, and tools for customers and teams.
• Prepare and manage commercial and marketing budgets.
• Maintain accurate CRM data on customers, pipeline, and opportunities.
