Job summary

Shining Star Consulting seeks an experienced Grants Manager to provide grant-related accounting support for nonprofit clients on a remote, flexible, part-time basis. Expect 10–25 hours per week with compensation of $50–$65/hour, depending on experience and location.

You will report to the Senior Director of Grants Management and perform post-award duties, budget-to-actual reporting, invoicing, and data generation for funders and internal decision-making.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of grants management experience.
• Basic understanding of nonprofit financial accounting.
• Knowledge of federal grant rules and compliance.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online or SageIntacct.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Detail-oriented with ability to influence budgeting decisions.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and financial reports.
• Ability to learn new technology and work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Build client relationships and understand grant management needs.
• Manage grant revenues and expenses and ensure compliance.
• Invoicing and financial reporting for grants.
• Develop budgets and perform budget-to-actual analyses.
• Review grant agreements and revenue recognition.
• Collaborate with finance, program, and development teams.
