Job summary

CRADLE (Woman, Cradle of Abundance) seeks an experienced Development, Fundraising and Grants Manager to strengthen and diversify philanthropic support for its programs in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The role will lead grant development, donor cultivation, fundraising strategy, stewardship, and development systems.

This 15-20 hour per week, primarily remote position reports to the Executive Director or designated Board leadership, with a three-year commitment.

Qualifications

• Nonprofit fundraising, grant writing, development, or philanthropy experience.
• Strong grant research, writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Experience with donor cultivation, stewardship, and fundraising campaigns.
• Ability to work independently and across cultures and organizations.
• Experience with international development, Africa, education, women's empowerment encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising and development strategy.
• Research and pursue foundation, corporate, government, faith-based, and individual funding.
• Write and submit grant proposals, letters of inquiry, reports, and funding materials.
• Maintain a grant calendar, donor records, and development database.
• Cultivate and steward donors, major gifts, churches, foundations, and partners.
• Support annual appeals, Giving Tuesday, events, sponsorships, and campaigns.
• Coordinate with leadership to translate program priorities into funding opportunities.
• Ensure timely grant reporting, donor communications, and stewardship.
• Develop fundraising materials, stories, and cases for support.
• Provide regular reports to leadership and the Board on fundraising activity.
