Job summary

Village Enterprise is a nonprofit focused on ending extreme poverty in rural Africa and seeks a Grants Coordinator to bolster institutional fundraising, grants management, donor compliance and development systems.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Institutional Partnerships, you will work with Development colleagues across the United States and East Africa to grow new funding and manage the grants portfolio with strong organization and written communications.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in institutional fundraising or grants management.
• Experience with bilateral, multilateral or foundation donors.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or another CRM.

Responsibilities

• Identify and research new funding opportunities aligned with Village Enterprise’s strategy.
• Prepare donor prospect profiles and respond to donor inquiries.
• Coordinate inputs for proposal development with programs, finance and M&E.
• Support donor reporting and maintain grant records in Salesforce.
• Develop tools and workflows to streamline grant management.
• Participate in organization-wide meetings and assist special initiatives.
• Embed safeguarding practices in fundraising activities.
