Job summary

AFFIRM, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Global Payroll professional to manage UK and Spain payroll and expand to more EU countries. You will collaborate with People Ops, Legal, Tax, and Finance to ensure accurate, timely payroll while complying with local laws.

The role supports RSU and ESPP taxation, garnishments, and year-end reporting in a fast-growing, remote-first environment. Strong analytical and cross-functional skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10-15 years of international payroll experience with a focus on EMEA countries.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and education beyond high school.
• Strong math, analytical, research, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Strong system and data flow knowledge; ability to learn and adapt to new processes and software technologies.
• Self-motivated, deadline-oriented and able to work with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Senior Manager, Global Payroll.
• Collaborate with People Platform, Benefits, Legal, and Finance on all payroll matters with cross-functional impact.
• Process UK and Spain payroll; grow to additional EU countries.
• Assist with processing RSUs and ESPP earnings and taxation.
• Process garnishments and levies.
• Assist with audit and compliance procedures related to payroll.
• Support month-end closing for payroll accounts.
• Assist with annual financial statement audits and be the primary contact for payroll audit testing.
• Conduct year-end reporting for respective countries.
• Answer employee questions regarding pay and benefits.
