Job summary

London Approach is seeking a Global Payroll Manager to oversee international payroll operations, ensure compliance across jurisdictions, and lead a small payroll team. This hands-on role combines global payroll processing, tax compliance, process improvement, and leadership across HR and Finance.

The ideal candidate has extensive multi-country payroll experience, strong U.S. payroll expertise, and exposure to European payroll, with a focus on staying current with regulatory changes.

Qualifications

• Global payroll experience across multiple countries; seven+ countries preferred.
• Strong U.S. payroll expertise, including multi-state payroll and tax compliance.
• European payroll exposure; France payroll experience highly preferred.
• Experience researching and resolving payroll tax notices.
• Understanding of live/work tax implications.
• Experience managing or overseeing payroll staff.
• ADP Workforce Now experience strongly preferred.
• Exposure to ADP Streamline and Workday is a plus.
• CPP certification is a plus.
• Background in accounting, finance, or HR is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accurate global payroll processing across multiple countries.
• Manage and support a team of two payroll processors.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and international payroll tax regulations.
• Research and resolve payroll tax notices, discrepancies, and compliance issues.
• Evaluate tax implications related to employee residency and work locations.
• Partner with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders on payroll reporting and reconciliations.
• Oversee payroll audits, year-end processes, and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, systems, and operational efficiency.
• Stay current on payroll legislation and regulatory changes across applicable jurisdictions.
