EBSCO Information Services, Inc. is seeking an E-Content Specialist to build and maintain a comprehensive Global Knowledge Base, ensuring high-quality metadata and accurate linking to full text.

You will partner with external data providers, perform root-cause analysis of issues, and manage collections with rich metadata. The role emphasizes data quality, vendor coordination, and cross-functional collaboration in a remote US-based setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working with large datasets, metadata, or electronic resources.
• 2+ years of experience coordinating with third-party vendors and managing high-volume written and verbal communications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and advanced functions, with experience on datasets over 50,000 rows.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with global providers to obtain metadata for GKB maintenance.
• Analyze publisher-supplied metadata for completeness and quality; identify gaps and remediate.
• Create, load, and maintain GKB collections with metadata, descriptions, classifications, and attributes.
• Develop and maintain internal documentation on metadata transformation/loading.
• Research and source required metadata when not provided and load into the GKB.
• Prioritize weekly tasks and report progress in daily team meetings.
• Collaborate with team members and cross-functional partners to meet goals.
