Job summary

EBSCO Information Services is seeking an E-Content Specialist to build and maintain the Global Knowledge Base, ensuring accurate linking to full text and high‑quality metadata. You will establish data feeds with external partners, analyze metadata, and maintain collections to reflect content accurately.

This is a remote, U.S.-based role within the Global Knowledge Base Team. You will collaborate with cross‑functional partners, prioritize weekly tasks, and document metadata transformation

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working with large datasets, metadata, or electronic resources.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, and handling large datasets.
• Experience coordinating with third-party vendors and managing high-volume written and verbal communications.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with global providers to obtain required metadata.
• Analyze publisher metadata for completeness, quality, and accuracy; identify gaps.
• Create, load, and maintain GKB collections with metadata like descriptions, classifications, and names.
• Develop and maintain internal documentation for metadata transformation workflows.
• Research and source missing metadata; ensure proper structure and loading into the GKB.
• Prioritize weekly tasks and report progress in daily team meetings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet organizational goals.
