Job summary

EBSCO Information Services, a leader in information resources, is seeking an E-Content Specialist to help build and maintain the Global Knowledge Base (GKB). You will ensure accurate linking to full text by managing metadata feeds and collections, while resolving data issues with external partners.

You’ll work from a remote U.S.-based setting, collaborating with the Global Knowledge Base Team to drive data quality, adherence to standards, and proactive problem solving that reduces reoccurring

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working with large datasets, metadata, or electronic resources.
• 2+ years of experience coordinating with third-party vendors and managing high-volume communications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with advanced functions and large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with global providers to resolve data issues and obtain metadata for GKB.
• Analyze publisher-supplied metadata for completeness, quality, and accuracy, identifying gaps and remediation steps.
• Create, load, and maintain GKB collections with descriptions, classifications, and related attributes for discovery.
• Develop and maintain internal documentation on metadata transformations and loading processes.
• Research and source required metadata when not provided, ensuring proper structure for GKB loading.
• Prioritize and manage weekly tasks, reporting progress in daily team meetings.
• Collaborate with team members and cross-functional partners to meet goals.
