Job summary

EBSCO Information Services is seeking an E-Content Specialist to build and maintain a global knowledge base of metadata for electronic resources. You will manage data feeds, analyze metadata quality, and ensure accurate linking to full text to support client discovery.

The role is fully remote in the U.S., within a Global Knowledge Base team and product management organization, with opportunities to contribute to data standards and internal documentation while collaborating cross‑functionally.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with large datasets, metadata, or electronic resources.
• 2+ years coordinating with third‑party vendors and managing high‑volume written and verbal communications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and handling datasets with 50,000+ rows.
• Experience with metadata standards (KBART, MARC, Dublin Core, ONIX).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with global providers to resolve data issues and obtain metadata for GKB maintenance.
• Analyze publisher metadata to ensure completeness, quality, and accuracy; identify gaps and remediate.
• Create, load, and maintain collections in the GKB with associated metadata for accurate indexing and discovery.
• Develop and maintain internal documentation describing metadata transformations for loading.
• Research and source required metadata when not provided, ensuring proper structure and successful loading.
• Prioritize weekly tasks and report progress in daily team meetings.
• Collaborate with team members and cross‑functional partners to meet goals.
