Job summary

New Energy Nexus is seeking a Director of Development Strategy & Operations to lead global fundraising strategy and operations. This remote, full-time role works with country teams, funders, and program leads to translate field insights into prioritized opportunities and a cohesive growth plan.

You will steer the development team, manage the pipeline, and oversee collateral, proposals, and reporting to accelerate impact across markets while maintaining strong cross‑functional coordination.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience across nonprofit fundraising/development, development strategy and/or development operations.
• Strong track record leading the development of complex philanthropic proposals involving multiple programmes or geographies.
• Experience turning frontline input into strategy and prioritization.
• Experience managing a distributed team and coordinating across stakeholders.
• Familiarity with CRM data to support forecasting and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop a living, prioritized development strategy based on proposals, funder conversations and market signals.
• Synthesize intelligence into clear fundraising priorities across programs and geographies.
• Lead and develop the global platform-level development team, aligning resources and timelines.
• Maintain the fundraising pipeline across the network by funder, program and chapter.
• Create modular collateral and templates for funder meetings and conferences.
• Collaborate with Communications to align collateral with messaging and brand.
