Job summary

Reading Partners seeks a frontline fundraiser and collaborative leader to act as Managing Director of Development, guiding national and regional fundraising toward a $31.5M revenue goal. This role reports to the VP of Development and oversees five fundraisers across regions, ensuring accountability and strategic donor engagement.

The position is remote, with residency requirements across several US states, and requires a track record in institutional giving, coaching, and cross-functional

Qualifications

• 10+ years progressive fundraising experience with 3+ years people management.
• Experience in institutional fundraising and donor relationships.
• Ability to lead across national and regional teams with equity and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontline fundraising for institutional donors with a $2-4M revenue portfolio.
• Strategically align national and regional development efforts to hit revenue goals.
• Coach regional fundraisers, manage pipelines, and forecast fundraising activity.
• Collaborate with finance, marketing, and program teams for donor proposals.
• Oversee grant management and ensure timely reporting and compliance.
