Job summary

Reading Partners seeks a seasoned development leader to serve as Managing Director of Development. You will oversee five fundraisers across regions, align national and regional plans, and drive $31.5M in revenue through effective donor strategy and pipeline management.

You will coach frontline fundraisers, coordinate with the finance and marketing teams, and guide grant proposals and reporting. This is a remote role with travel to regions as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive fundraising experience with 3 years of people management experience.
• Experience with institutional fundraising and donor engagement across national and regional levels.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and lead diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Strategically align national and regional development efforts to meet org-wide revenue goals.
• Lead frontline fundraising for national/institutional donors, managing a portfolio totaling $2-4M in revenue.
• Coach and support frontline fundraisers to meet or exceed goals; coordinate with regional directors.
• Oversee proposal development, reporting, and budgeting with coordination from finance and marketing teams.
• Develop compelling donor communications and tailor experiences for external stakeholders.
